Fashion forward for Bollywood with Aisha

Fashion forward for Bollywood with Aisha

Remember the Hollywood movies where you drool as much over the clothes and styling as over the plot? Now comes an Indian movie that promises to give glimpses of high street fashion in India and set a benchmark for Bollywood.
The film Aisha will see actress Sonam Kapoor embrace dresses that are soft and flowery, including a nude tulle flowery one with a bow and small pearls.
The woman behind this pretty wardrobe is Dubai-based designer Ayesha Depala. "In the film, Aisha Kapoor is a girl from Delhi. She loves her clothes and animals. She is very feminine and fashion forward. I could very much relate to her in the movie because she is quintessentially like my brand in many ways," said Depala.

"My clothes are subtle and reflect the wearer's personal sense of style. Even a fully beaded couture piece will never be extremely embellished nor extremely revealing."

"A woman's sex appeal lies in her confidence and the clout she has from wearing her outfit as opposed to bearing all."

Promos of Aisha, produced by Anil Kapoor's daughter Rhea, are looking very stylish. All the female leads are looking chic and sophisticated. The effort that has gone into the clothes may remind the audiences of glamorous-looking movies like Devil Wears Prada, Priceless and Sex and the City.

If you log on to the official website of Aisha, you will see Sonam sitting comfortably on a red couch wearing a nude tulle ruffled gown by Depala. She has also created little dresses that are soft and flowery. One of these is a nude lace shift with a racer back design and another nude tulle flowery dress with a bow and small pearls.
Though the entire look of Aisha has been designed by stylist Pernia Qureshi, who with the help of other designers has successfully given a feel of freshness to the movie, Depala was in charge of Sonam's wardrobe. Depala met Sonam during the Dubai International Film Festival and they clicked on a personal level.
"Sonam and I clicked instantaneously. She liked my work and we talked about dressing her for the red carpet appearances. We chatted for a long time, which helped me a lot to know her personally," said Depala. "It was long before Aisha happened. One day I got a call from her sister Rhea and she asked me if I would be interested to design for her. So that's how I got this project," she added.
So how did she manage to sketch out dresses from such a distance? "Rhea sent me the script and this helped me know Aisha better. We sent them a few ready-to-wear looks, which they selected and also, I did design a few dresses especially for her with Pernia's guidance," she added.
This is not the first time Depala is dressing a Bollywood celebrity; her dresses have been worn by Lara Dutta and Shilpa Shetty as well. Her career began in 2002, when she launched her signature line - Ayesha Depala - under which she presents both ready-to-wear and couture.
The designer, who holds a degree in interior designing from Delhi, shifted to Dubai after marriage. After gaining a foothold in the Middle East, Depala is now aiming for the Indian market as well. Apart from designing for Aisha, she will take part in the HDIL-India Couture Week in Mumbai later this year for more visibility.

Katrina Kaif: 'I hope to find love'

Katrina Kaif: 'I hope to find love'

Katrina Kaif is one of Bollywood's most bankable stars; she consistently sets cash registers ringing at the Box Office, but her heart is yet to break out into a song. It has been a great year so far for Katrina, who turns 26 on July 16.
The recent success of Rajneeti and her participation in two exciting projects - Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan and Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Milegi Na Dubara - have made the year truly memorable and exciting. Her professional success notwithstanding, Katrina often feels lonely and stranded in Mumbai, away from her siblings in London and mother in Chennai.
As far as professional success goes, she says, "I couldn't have asked for more." But there is something else she wants. "In the coming year I hope to find love. Every girl needs someone to share her life with," she tells TOI. Katrina is currently in Spain on the set of Zindagi Milegi Na Dubara.
She had taken off from the unit to be with her family in London in the days leading up her birthday, which she had planned to spend in the British capital. However, a change in Zoya's schedule forced to recall Katrina to Spain a day before her birthday.
"My two youngest sisters Isabella and Sonia are coming back to Spain with me, so I have a part of my family with me. And I couldn't hope to be with a better unit on my birthday. Zoya Akhtar is one of the coolest directors I've worked with," she says. Happy Birthday Katrina! We hope you find the love that you seek, even if that means you will be breaking countless hearts.

The Growing Friendship...

The Growing Friendship..

'Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone'
Working together in director Pradeep Sarkar’s forthcoming film ‘Lafange Parindey’, actress Deepika Padukone has found a friend for life in Neil Nitin Mukesh. Neil once went out of his way to do her make-up personally, which was somewhat different, required for an accident scene.
‘I think I have made a friend for life and I think that’s what I cherished the most because he is a wonderful human being and that comes across on screen. We got along really well,’ said Deepika.
‘There is an accident scene, where I need a different kind of make-up and he is trained in it so he told dada (Pradeep Sarkar) that he will do my make-up and he did. Another day where I was doing…not exactly an action sequence, but lot of cable work and all of that, he choreographed the entire act. So I think in every way he was there for me,’ Deepika told IANS in an interview.
Set in the mean streets of Mumbai, ‘Lafangey Parindey’ is a love story where Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the character of Nandu, a fighter who pummels his opponents in the ring and Deepika Padukone plays Pinky Palkar, a dancer who is blind but ambitious and dances with roller skates on her feet.
He teaches her to see and she teaches him how to love. Neil used to be around Deepika, even on his off days. ‘I can confidently say that he has been the most supportive and encouraging co-star, with whom I have worked so far. Even on days when he was not required, he would be there,’ said Deepika.
Deepika believes that regardless of his experience in the industry, Neil has every quality of being a director.
‘I think he is ready to direct. We keep thinking that he is new, we saw him in three-four films, but I think in terms of experience and his knowledge where cinema is concerned, I think he is technically very sound and he is ready to direct a film,’ said Deepika.

Failure of Kites pushes Hrithik Roshan back to Krrish 2

Failure of Kites pushes Hrithik Roshan back to Krrish 2

According to the bollywood industry sources, Producer Rakesh Roshan has taken the failure of Kites very seriously and hence planning to hit back with a sequel of 2006 hit bollywood  film ‘Krrish’ starring his son Hrithik Roshan.
Rakesh Roshan had planned for a sequel of Krrish earlier too but it never materialized. However, the debacle of Kites has made him work on it very seriously to make Hrithik stand tall in the top list again. The earlier plan of Krrish 2 was mainly cancelled due to the extra special effects in Avatar, which was released at the end of 2009.
According to the sources, “Roshans have already started meetings for the sequel of Krrish. They have taken the debacle of Kites very seriously. All the three films Rakesh made with his son Hrithik were big hits so they want to ensure the combination creates history again”.
The father son duo has given three films together till now, which includes Hrithik’s debut movie Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai then Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish. All the three movies were highly appreciated and did a good box office business.
The source added, “After giving those hits, Rakesh wanted to take a break from direction and start producing films. Among all these, Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra was supposed to direct Krrish 2. They conducted several meetings for this but it got dissolved”.
However, whatever be the reason, the audience will get to see their favorite Indian superhero back on the big screen. This time, it is expected to be much entertaining than the first one.
Of course, it’s impossible to put everything about bollywood news, bollywood gossip into just one article. But you can’t deny that you’ve just added to your understanding about bollywood news, bollywood gossip, and that’s time well spent.

Sharukh autographed his naked photos ?

Sharukh autographed his naked photos ?

BOLLYWOOD star Shah Rukh Khan has found himself in hot water after claiming that airport staff printed his naked image from a full-body scanner and handed it to him.

The controversial technology, which will be rolled out across Australia’s airports by next year, allows security to detect non-metallic devices, objects and weapons on a person’s body but also reveals organs and genitals in the process.

Mr Khan told BBC talk show host Jonathan Ross that he autographed printed scans of his body for female security officers in an “embarrassing” incident at London airport.

"I was a little scared. I came out (of the scanner) and then I saw these girls and they had these printouts," Mr Khan said.

"So I looked at them, I thought maybe it's a form you're supposed to (sign) ... and you could see everything inside.

"And then I've autographed them for them."

His comments have been used to highlight privacy concerns of the technology.

However British Airways has hit back at the claims, saying they are “completely factually incorrect” and “simply could not be true”.

The airline says there is no facility for printing images from body-scanners.

The Australian Government has announced full-body scanners will be adopted around the nation this year as part of a $200 million airport security boost.

In a recent poll, 57 per cent of news.com.au readers supported full-body scanning technology as a necessary security device.

Yet concerns remain about a potential breach of travellers’ privacy as well as child porn fears.

Civil liberties groups say passengers should be allowed to opt out of having a full body scan for a body pat-down instead.

Would you like to get an autograph from SRK with his naked Photo???
